LipoVida is the result of a unique collaboration between the surgeons Dr. Georgios Xydias and Tim Kurpanek. Together, we have been successfully performing lipedema therapies on approximately 300 patients per year for several years. This intensive collaboration and our shared passion for offering you the best treatment methods ultimately led to the founding of LipoVida. Through constant optimization and our experience in this field, we have been able to continuously improve our therapies.
We specialize in providing our patients with comprehensive advice on the topic of lipedema and in developing an individual and transparent treatment plan together with them to meet their personal needs.
At LipoVida, we not only place great value on effective lipedema treatment, but also on an aesthetically pleasing overall result. That is why, in addition to liposuction, we also offer various skin tightening procedures. According to the current guidelines of the German Society for Phlebology and Lymphology, lipedema is defined as a chronic progressive systemic disease that affects only the extremities, with the exception of the head, neck and trunk. However, through our many years of experience and contact with numerous affected patients, we have found that lipedema can also cause complaints in the trunk (abdomen or back), as well as in the chin/neck area.Here too, our patients describe an increased sensitivity to pressure and touch, and small to large nodules in the fatty tissue are noticeable during clinical examination.
We also repeatedly observe the phenomenon of so-called redistribution in patients who have already been treated on their arms and legs, i.e. the patients describe a painful increase in fatty tissue precisely in the places that do not belong to lipedema according to the current guidelines.
